As a new player who just started playing Conan Exiles I'm finding this thread as I was digging for information about how to fix the Journey system because it's incredibly frustrating to forget to swap to the right journey for the right action or to have done something already and able to move past it, but unable to do so because the system wants me to do it again …

So the "before it reaches you" part is not a requirement... you can stand toe to toe with them and shoot their face... Based on the above, also make sure that Creative mode is turned OFF.

He was the first npc I talked to, so got the "Find Someone to Talk to" or whatever journey step instead. Now I can't get the other journey step no matter how many times I try to talk to him again.
