Disassemble. 1. Turn the base over so it is upside down. 2. Remove the 9 screws connecting the bottom of the base to the top of the base. 1 screw at the back of the unit behind the black cat sensor foot. 3. Gently lift to separate the two halves of the base. The pieces will still be connected by a wire.
