If you were instead asking about the seasonal exotics, yes, each season's one only comes from soloing one of the legend/master lost sectors.

One day I ran lost sectors 5 times and got to exotics. The other day I ran it 30 times to finally get one. If you can do the master one then your chances are much better in getting that drop. If you can’t then be prepared to grind it if you really want that exotic. You can going for exotics till daily reset.
